I'll just start it. I was at work today listening to "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." When a co-worker came over and out of no where exclaimed "My girlfriend had her period, isn't that a good feeling." "What?" I said puzzled. "Oh wait you don't know that feeling anymore." He said with a smug look. I asked him why this makes him happy. "Well she's not pregnant, right?" He said. "Why would she be unless your having sex, are you?" I asked. He smiled. "Why don't you wait until your married" I said. "Jared its a new age." He said. That set me off. I told him that was the stupidest thing I have ever heard. "Your lazy, you have no self control. People just say that because they can't keep it in." I got heated. He could see this set me off. Another co-worker told him to open the Bible and read a passage. I can't remember which one because I was mad.
I believe the reason this set me off for this certain person is because he claims to be Catholic, and wears a gold Jesus cross chain. He tells us that he used to go to Church but doesn't anymore because it's "boring."Another reason that it set me off is because soon I will have a child and to have a young teen tell me that it's the "new age" scares me. The new age, what does that mean? An age to be lazy, disrespectful, break curfew, to talk back, to hinder instead of helping people. These two words that this co-work spoke scared that crap out of me.
"Lord help me raise YOUR child in Your ways."
Even though this made/makes me mad and sad for him, I will pray for him and his situation.
